Celebrate Students who Reach Higher: #CollegeSigningDay

College Signing Day is this Friday, and we are excited to celebrate students who have made their college choices. We’re marking the day by wearing our college gear to show our continued support of post-secondary success for all students.

College Signing Day is a national movement where communities, schools, and organizations like ours rally around students who make a commitment to higher education.

As part of Mrs. Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative, this movement is a way for educators, counselors, parents, and communities to encourage those heading to college, and as part of Better Make Room it’s also a way for students to inspire and encourage others, too. The official College Signing Day celebration will be Friday in New York at The Public Theatre. Celebrities like former U.S. Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, artist Nick Cannon, models Bella Hadid and Ashley Graham, and actors Neil Patrick Harris and Michael B. Jordan will be cheering on students who are making their college decisions. Mrs. Obama will be there showing her support alongside ACT’s CEO Marten Roorda and Center for Equity in Learning Chief Officer Jim Larimore.

How can you show your support and participate? We are encouraging everyone to wear their college gear in celebration of this exciting milestone this Friday (May 5) and share your photos using the hashtag #CollegeSigningDay
