ACT Center for Equity in Learning
Amber O’Connor is the Program Coordinator for social impact at ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning (CEL) where she supports programs focused on promoting women and girls in leadership, bringing world-class speakers to the ACT campus related to the Center’s work, and serving on the Accessibility and Accommodations Oversight Board (AAOB). Prior to joining the Center, Amber served as the Senior Communications Associate at ACT’s Internal Communications department.
Amber’s prior experiences include positions with Goodwill Industries of the Heartland where she worked with kids and adults with barriers to independence, Erb’s Technology Solutions as the Marketing Communications Director, and Options of Linn County as the Business Development Specialist where she fostered work relationships with area businesses for people with intellectual and development disabilities.
Amber holds a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Public Relations from Mount Mercy University, Cedar Rapids, IA.
