ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning
Amber O’Connor is a program manager for the Center where she manages the Center’s digital communications strategy and Center events. Amber serves on the Accessibility and Accommodations Oversight Board (AAOB) and Corporate Giving Committee. Prior to joining the Center, Amber served as a senior communications associate in ACT’s Internal Communications department.
Amber’s prior experiences include positions with Goodwill Industries of the Heartland where she worked with kids and adults with barriers to independence, Erb’s Technology Solutions as the marketing communications director, and Options of Linn County as the business development specialist where she fostered work relationships with area businesses for people with intellectual and development disabilities.
Amber is an avid volunteer in and around her community. She serves on the Mount Mercy University Alumni Board, her children’s high school fine arts and athletic booster committees, and in her school district’s classrooms.
Amber holds a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Public Relations from Mount Mercy University and is a Master of Strategic Leadership candidate.
