We are wrapping up another busy year in ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning. We will be taking some time off from our usual blog postings as we close out the year, however before we do, we wanted to take a few moments to celebrate the work we accomplished in 2018.
From celebrating mentors, to women inspiring others, to first-generation college students and narrowing the homework gap (digital divide), we had a full year working to close education and equity gaps and providing access for all learners. We hosted a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Summit in Austin in June, bringing practitioners, researchers, students, and funders together so we might better coordinate this important work.
We hope you, your family, and friends can take some time to celebrate the season together, but we also hope you have some down time to reflect on 2018 and gear up for a busy 2019. We are working on our plans and it is shaping up to be another exciting year.
